We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Neonatal Nurse
to join our specialist neonatal care team in
Preston
. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and innovative environment, providing vital care to newborns who require special attention, including premature babies and those with health complications.
As a Neonatal Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to infants and supporting their families throughout their journey in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Key Responsibilities
Deliver skilled, evidence-based nursing care to neonates in Level 1, 2 or 3 neonatal units.
Monitor and manage infants' vital signs, administering medication and treatment as prescribed.
Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, including neonatologists, paediatricians, and allied health professionals.
Provide emotional and educational support to parents and families during their child's NICU stay.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in accordance with NMC guidelines.
Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous professional development.
Requirements
Registered Nurse with valid
NMC PIN
(Children's Nurse or Adult Nurse with Neonatal experience).
Completion of a
Specialist Neonatal Course (QIS)
is desirable, or willingness to undertake one.
Previous experience in neonatal or paediatric nursing is preferred.
Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
Empathy, patience, and a commitment to delivering family-centred care.
