The purpose of this role is to effectively manage the Pallet Network operation, inclusive of customer service, delivery service, profitability, efficiencies and safety of the operation.
This role is also expected to support the overall function of the Transport Department and support the Transport Manager with compliance and reporting.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Brief Drivers
Ensure Vehicle scanning is accurate
Plan and route second runs
Ensure delivery ETA's are complete and accurate
Ensure delivery POD's are complete and accurate
Assist with the management of the internal charging mechanisms such as ADR's
Ensure all additional revenue streams are kept up to date, for example redelivery charges
Ensure proper feedback of any complaints or operational challenges to the sales team.
Ensure a proper handover is given to the afternoon team
Customer KPI reporting
Monitor customer deliveries
Dealing with inbound calls
Dealing with customer queries
Booking deliveries in with multiple delivery points
Process invoice queries
General administration duties
Health & Safety:
To ensure you follow safe working practices.
To promptly report all accidents and incidents to your line manager.
To assist in accident investigations as necessary.
To ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained.
To adhere to relevant site rules, QEHS policies and procedures including quality procedures, HACCP, safe systems of work and environmental controls.

To have good communication skills and ability to liaise verbally confidently with employees and Management.
To listen carefully to instructions.
To keep your Manager up to date with any work issues that may affect deadlines.
Flexibility and Ad-Hoc:
To be flexible to work on a variety of duties and locations as required.
To carry out any other task that is reasonable and within your skill set as business needs dictate.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
Excellent customer service skills
Experience within the transport industry preferred
Experience of working in a Pallet Network would be ideal
Effective communication skills with a professional approach
Excellent administration skills
Attention to detail
Organised, able to prioritise and multi-task
IT literate, competent in Microsoft packages
Team player, self-motivated, flexible and confident
