We've a great opportunity to join our Essex & Suffolk Water team as our Water Networks Operations Manager to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of all network operations activity (strategic and distribution network).
We're looking for you to oversee our water network maintenance activities and water efficiency projects, along with seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and new ways of delivering services. We're looking for you to embed a customer experience ethos, working with key stakeholders to maintain and improve organisational C-MEX scores and wider customer focussed projects.
You'll be leading and inspiring our high performing Network Operations team by creating a positive and open working environment where we welcome and celebrate difference, promoting equality and diversity, to allow people to feel valued, and trusted, underpinned by a positive Great Place To Work score. Through your team of managers, you'll be ensuring the team is led efficiently on a day-to-day basis, including productivity and efficiency measures are achieved within the agreed budget.
We're looking for you to co-create and develop functional business plans that align to the overall strategic objectives, ensuring plans deliver efficiently and effectively business objectives, along with ensuring network operation activities align to attained quality standards, satisfy relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, and are carried out safely to ensure everyone goes home safe every day.
About the you
We're looking for you to have a working knowledge of the utility industry and external factors that can influence including political, economic, social, and technological issues, along with ideally previous water industry experience and working knowledge (strategic and operational) of the wider operational area that we serve. You'll have proven experience of delivering change initiatives and development of solutions that go beyond existing precedents, assumptions, or current knowledge of complicated disciplines/business challenges.
You'll have proven leadership experience and be able to lead by example and act as a role model of our company values, along with a track record of creating working environments where teams engage and achieve.
We're looking for you to have a strong understanding of the role our people and customers play; able to identify areas of improvement and delivering projects committed to valuing our people and continuously improving service delivery. You'll also be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of relevant regulation within the water industry, water network policies and procedures.
