We have an exciting opportunity for a Neurodiversity Lead for a split role to join our teams at HMP Rye Hill cat B & HMP Onley, a category C Prison both based next door to each in located in Rugby.
HMP Rye Hill has a capacity of 660 males after 18+ HMP Onley has a capacity of 745 males

Hours:
This role is full time 37.5 hours per week split over 2 sites covering 18.75 at each site, the working times are 8am - 4pm with 30 mins lunch.
Salary:
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between 49,848 - 55,996 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Neurodiversity Lead your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • Provide strategic leadership specialising in neurodiversity within a diverse healthcare setting
  • Encompass the needs of the neurodiverse population, utilising validated screening tools and assessments leading to evidenced based care planned interventions
  • Developing and implementing clear joined up pathways across all healthcare settings, involving our custodial partners
  • A key component will also be to lead on developing professional relationships and pathways with community settings to enhance referrals and specialised involvement upon discharge
  • Ensuring that a holistic and collaborative care planned approach is maintained throughout.
You will lead on the development and training needs of staff * Providing understanding of neurodivergent needs and what reasonable adjustments could look like within the custodial setting whilst maintaining a trauma informed approach.

Qualifications required
  • RMN, RNLD, Social Worker (Mental Health) or Occupational Therapist (Mental Health)
  • Current professional qualification (NMC, HCPC or equivalent)
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
