Business Development Executive



Team: New Store Growth (Sales)



Reports to: Associate Director of Sales



Basic Salary: 30,000



OTE: 50,000 - 60,000



Purpose of the Role



The New Store Growth BDE is responsible for

proving and scaling new commercial opportunities

across the business. This includes taking new products to market, and exploring new territories, data sets, sales techniques, and technologies before they are rolled out into core sales teams.

This is a

full-cycle sales role

. BDEs are responsible for prospecting and closing their own business, while feeding structured insight back into the organisation to inform wider go-to-market decisions.

Key Responsibilities



Prospect, qualify, and close new business end-to-end Work from company-provided prospecting records aligned to defined ICPs Test and sell new product propositions, markets, and sales approaches Run structured outbound activity across phone, email, and other channels Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline hygiene, and activity tracking Capture and report insights on: Messaging effectiveness Objections and buying triggers Conversion rates and sales cycle length
Contribute to the development of repeatable scripts, processes, and playbooks

A sales-first role with an innovation and testing remit High autonomy and high accountability Focused on learning quickly and proving what scales

Account management A static or heavily scripted sales role A non-selling strategy or insight-only position

Experience & Skills



Essential:



Minimum

2 years' outbound sales experience

Proven ability to prospect and close own deals Strong organisation, time management, and admin skills Self-motivated and comfortable working independently Experience using sales CRMs (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar
Experience selling into SME or mid-market audiences

Desirable:



Exposure to new product launches, new markets, or early-stage propositions Background in SaaS, digital marketing, eCommerce, or performance-led environments

Commercially curious and adaptable Organised, disciplined, and detail-oriented Comfortable operating in ambiguity and change Confident communicator who can articulate insights clearly Motivated by variety, innovation, and ownership
