Lead with Purpose. Create Stability. Deliver Lasting Change.

Green Tree Children's Home in Erith, Kent, is offering an exceptional opportunity for a confident, experienced, and values-driven Registered Manager to lead our newly established 4-bed Ofsted-registered home. This role is not just about managing a service--it's about building something meaningful from the ground up, where your leadership will shape the future of children aged 8 to 18 who deserve safety, stability, and the chance to thrive.

A Fresh Start, Backed by Experience

As the newest venture of a well-respected semi-independent provider, Green Tree brings together new ambition with a foundation of proven success in the care sector. You'll be joining a leadership team with deep sector knowledge, a strong ethical commitment, and a track record of delivering quality support across children's services.

At Green Tree, you'll enjoy genuine independence to lead with your own professional standards and vision--free from unnecessary micromanagement. With responsive and collaborative support from senior leadership, you'll be empowered to run the home with the clarity, confidence, and respect that experienced professionals deserve.

Why Choose Green Tree?

Our purpose-built home is situated minutes from Erith town centre, offering a warm and calm setting for children and staff alike. With strong local connections and well-established partnerships, you'll have the tools and infrastructure to deliver holistic, therapeutic care.

This is a pivotal time to join our values-led organisation. Your input will shape culture, practice, and direction from day one. Your leadership will directly influence real, long-term outcomes for the young people we support.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all strategic and day-to-day operations of the home Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and relevant legislation Build and lead a skilled, compassionate care team Create and maintain tailored care plans based on each child's individual needs Promote a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach in every aspect of the home Cultivate strong working relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies Champion continuous improvement and strive for excellence in outcomes and inspections

Who We're Looking For

You're a resilient, emotionally intelligent leader with the insight and drive to establish a new service that reflects your commitment to meaningful care. You know what high standards look like--and you're ready to shape them into something lasting.

You'll bring:

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or a willingness to work towards it) Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within an Ofsted-regulated children's home A strong track record of leading successful teams and achieving high inspection outcomes Robust safeguarding knowledge and a sound understanding of trauma-informed practice Excellent communication and leadership skills A deep commitment to child-centred, ethical care

What We Offer

Competitive salary with performance-related bonus Fully funded enhanced DBS check Bespoke training and leadership development Real autonomy backed by consistent, responsive support Wellbeing support and access to external resources A collaborative culture grounded in integrity and transparency The rare opportunity to shape a brand-new service from inception

Make a Real Impact

This is more than just a new role--it's your chance to define a home where children can feel safe, supported, and hopeful again. If you're ready to take the next step in your leadership journey and want to be part of something with real heart and long-term purpose, we'd love to hear from you.
