Job Summary

You must be within 25 miles of Taunton

To provide complex care for a 53 -year old gentlemen who has Muscular Dystrophy.

You will carry out all of the same duties as a Care Assistant. However, you will may also deliver some specialist clinical care including PEG Feeding Stoma Care, Non-Invasive Ventilator Care, Nebuliser Care, Cough Assist Machine, Mouth Care. And a Communication Device. We provide full training on all these procedures.

You will need an absolute minimum of one-year previous care experience, either with a care provider, a nursing home or hospital setting or delived care in the community to a client with complex care needs. Have a good understanding and experience in skills such as moving and handling.

Duties:

- Assist client with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Follow a full care plan based on this individual's needs
- Keep accurate records of care provided.

Qualifications:

- An NVQ 2 or equivalent is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with client and his family
- Ability to drive or travel to clients home as required
- Proficiency in IT for record keeping and communication purposes
- Fluent in English to ensure clear and effective communication

-A valid driving licence is preferred.
