We are looking for a
newly qualified solicitor
with a genuine interest in
Employment Law
to join our growing Employment team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their legal career who is keen to
train and develop within the employment sector
, working alongside experienced employment practitioners on a varied and interesting caseload.
The Role
You will receive structured training and support while assisting on a broad range of employment matters, including:
Advising employers and employees on day-to-day employment issues
Drafting contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
Supporting on Employment Tribunal matters
Keeping up to date with employment legislation and best practice
Building strong client relationships
As your experience grows, you will be encouraged to take on increasing responsibility and manage your own matters with supervision.
The Ideal Candidate
Newly qualified solicitor (or qualifying shortly)
Strong interest in Employment Law
Good academic background and solid legal drafting skills
Confident communicator with a professional and approachable manner
Eager to learn, proactive, and committed to developing a career in employment law
Previous employment law experience (e.g. a seat or paralegal experience) is desirable but not essential.

Things you will learn Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of union and employee matters, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, TUPE, whistleblowing, and settlement negotiations.
Represent clients before Employment Tribunals, Employment Appeals Tribunals, and in pre-claim negotiations.
Draft and advise on employment contracts, workplace policies, and staff handbooks where relevant to employee rights.
Provide practical, strategic, and client-focused advice, ensuring excellent service and communication.
Work collaboratively with union representatives and internal colleagues to deliver seamless client support.
Contribute to team knowledge-sharing, training, and professional development initiatives.
