We are excited to announce that we are looking a full-time night animal care assistant (ACA).
You will work alongside our existing night ACAs, supporting the nursing team with patient care and maintaining the hospital.
Duties are varied, and no two nights are the same! You will be helping to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the hospital, keeping ward areas stocked and clean, helping veterinary surgeons and nurses with patient care and procedures, and much more. Our ACAs are a vital part of keeping our hospital running and taking care of our patients.
You will need to be able to work well within a team, but also be able to manage your own time and work independently and will need to be able to communicate well with the rest of the team.
You do not need to have previous experience with working with animals, however it is desirable, and you will need to be confident and calm around them and be willing to learn animal handling and restraint techniques. An Animal Care qualification is not necessary, as we will support your development with training.
The shift pattern is 7 x 12hr night shifts, week on/week off.
