Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in home care or care home settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a supportive environment for our clients.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily routines. Follow individual care plans meticulously to ensure personalised care is delivered. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to report changes in client condition or needs. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in behaviour or health status. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.

Skills

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
