Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with residents to assist with daily activities and implement care plans tailored to their specific needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those they care for.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting nutritional well-being. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement and follow care plans effectively. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional support. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents and team members. Experience in home care or care home settings is advantageous but not essential. Ability to drive is preferred for roles that involve travelling between homes or locations. Familiarity with IT systems for documenting care plans and resident information is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect towards residents. Capability to follow instructions accurately while being proactive in identifying residents' needs.
