Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in home care or care home settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those they care for.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in maintaining their independence while providing companionship and emotional support. Implement and follow care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all aspects of care are delivered effectively. Communicate regularly with healthcare professionals and family members regarding the client's condition and any changes observed. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or incidents promptly. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong English language skills for effective communication with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when necessary. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous. A caring attitude, patience, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential qualities for success in this role.
