Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in our care home, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those they care for.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and mobility. Support individuals in following their care plans to meet their specific needs. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions. Implement care plans effectively while respecting the dignity and privacy of residents. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety protocols.. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, such as Nourish and Emar systems. Cleaning of communal areas and some laundry duties.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families. A commitment to providing high-quality care with empathy and respect. Willingness to undertake any necessary training or qualifications. NVQ 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is essential. Level 2 in Safe Handling of Medications is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
