Oldway Heights, a reputable care home located in Paignton, Devon, is currently seeking a dedicated Night Carer to join our compassionate team.

Position: Night Carer
Location: Oldway Heights Care Home, Paignton, Devon
Shifts: 8pm - 8am, 3 nights a week (36 hours per week)
Salary: 12.10 per hour

Responsibilities:- Provide person-centered care and support to residents during the night shift
- Assist residents with their night-time routine, including personal care, medication administration, and any specific care requirements
- Monitor and respond to residents' needs promptly and effectively
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents during the night hours
- Document and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate staff members
- Collaborate with the daytime care team to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided
- Foster a warm, supportive, and respectful atmosphere for residents

Requirements:
- Proven experience in providing care and support, preferably in a care home or similar setting
- Ability to work overnight shifts and remain alert and responsive throughout the night
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, their families, and colleagues
- Empathy, patience, and understanding towards individuals with disabilities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a care home environment
- Valid enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one prior to employment
