Rachel kathryn residential home based in argoed is looking to recruit a new member of staff to join our team

The Hours of work will be 3 wake in nights per week (36 hours) experience working nights is essential the successful applicant will be required to cover additional hours to cover annual leave and sickness

Experience of working with individuals with learning, physical and mental health and experience in a similar role and a level 2 qualification in care is required

Applicants will be required to do wake in nights due to legislation applicant will need to be over the age of 21 inbox for more information or ring 01495 221320 interviews will be taking place this Monday

Responsibilities

Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support Administer medication in accordance with prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate records Support individuals with learning disabilities , Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Assist with light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe environment Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary

Skills

Experience in nursing home environments or home care is highly desirable Strong caregiving skills with an empathetic approach towards clients of all ages Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for mobility assistance or moving equipment Excellent organisational skills for medication administration and care planning First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring Good driving record and valid driving licence for transportation duties Ability to manage behavioural challenges with patience and professionalism Competence in meal preparation tailored to individual health needs Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, families, and healthcare professionals

Pay: From 12.60 per hour
