When the world is quiet and most people are asleep, you'll be there offering reassurance, comfort, and practical support to those who need it most.


As a Night Care Worker, you'll join a dedicated team supporting older adults through the night in a residential setting. You'll make sure residents are safe, comfortable and well cared for, responding to any needs that arise and keeping a watchful eye throughout the night.

What you'll be doing

Providing thoughtful, unhurried care during the night, including personal care and medication support Monitoring residents' wellbeing and ensuring care plans are followed Keeping bedrooms and communal areas clean, tidy and homely Responding to call bells, assisting with mobility, and being a reassuring presence Carrying out light domestic tasks and preparing the unit for the following day Working as part of a rota, including weekends and public holidays

What you'll bring

SVQ Level 3 in Social Care or a willingness to work towards it A calm, caring nature and the ability to support people with dignity and kindness Good written and verbal communication, and basic computer skills for record-keeping

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
