Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings, including assisted living facilities and private homes. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote independence. Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to best practices. Support clients with dementia care by providing a safe and engaging environment. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to relevant personnel.

Qualifications

Previous experience in care work or a related field is preferred but not essential. Certification in First Aid is advantageous. Knowledge of dementia care practices is beneficial. Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary requirements. Strong communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary. Experience in childcare or working with vulnerable populations is a plus. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting client dignity at all times.
