Overview

You will be working as part of a focused team in maintaining the personal care needs of our residents, respecting their dignity and promoting their independence at all times. You will also ensure that our care services are of a consistently high standard and help in caring for our residents, and undertake other general activities in our Home. Your role includes providing dignified personal care, assisting during mealtimes, and provide sensitive and appropriate support with various aspects of people's lives.

Beyond physical care, you'll also be a comforting and attentive listener. This role is varied, and every day is different, so being adaptable, and using your common sense and initiative are a 'must' for this role. You do not need to have worked as a Carer before applying to us, but all experience in this field will help.

Responsibilities

To respond positively to the spiritual, emotional, physical and mental needs of the residents To monitor the health, welfare and well being of residents; following care plans To monitor residents' hygiene and self-care and record and report any changes to this To maintain proper and accurate records regarding the residents and other Home information, writing reports in the care plan on daily events Ensure that the staff team is supported at all times maintaining professional relationships with all staff, setting a good example regarding general conduct at work To be aware and follow all procedures of the Home To be knowledgeable regarding emergency procedures pertaining to the Home To keep up to date with recent care developments, attend relevant courses/training To have knowledge of the use of any equipment within the Home
