Night Control Room Operator / Mobile Driver (SIA Experienced)

Location: Basildon, Essex

Hours: 20:00 - 08:00

Shift Pattern: various pattern negotiable at time of interview

Salary: Competitive hourly rate negotiable based on experience and employment status

Coverdale K9 are seeking a professional and experienced Night Control Room Operator / Mobile Driver to join our established K9 security operation, based at our head office in Basildon. This role is ideally suited to candidates with SIA experience, particularly those who have previously worked within dog handling or K9 security environments.

Key Responsibilities

Operating the control room during night hours in support of K9 and mobile response operations Monitoring lone workers and carrying out welfare checks and check calls Prioritising incidents and workload effectively, following escalation procedures Maintaining clear communication with dog handlers, mobile drivers, and management Completing mobile patrol or driving duties when required Accurately logging incidents, calls, and reports using computer systems
Essential Requirements

Valid SIA licence Previous experience within the security industry Clean English speaker with strong communication skills Full, clean UK driving licence Confident using smartphones and tablets (WhatsApp essential) Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook emails) Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions
Desirable Experience

Previous experience working for a dog handling or K9 security company Control room or monitoring centre experience Experience managing lone worker systems and welfare checks
