We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to our residents. In this role, you will support individuals in a care home or home care setting, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in following their care plans and achieving their personal goals.
Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behaviour to the healthcare team.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during shifts.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Drive to various locations if required for home care visits or transporting residents.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
A caring attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in your care.
