We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at RIVERLEA CARE HOME. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals, enhancing the well-being of our residents while ensuring their comfort and dignity.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring that all aspects of their health and well-being are addressed.
Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client status and any changes in condition.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or observations to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
Support clients in engaging in social activities and maintaining their independence as much as possible.
Drive clients to appointments or social engagements as needed, ensuring their safe transport.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.
Skills
Experience in home care or a similar setting is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members efficiently.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients when necessary.
Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication is beneficial.
A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
