We are seeking a dedicated Night Health Care Assistant to provide exceptional patient care during overnight shifts in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical support, patient service, and clinical procedures, with experience in hospital or outpatient settings. The Night Health Care Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and well-being through comprehensive support and clinical assistance.
Duties
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature during night shifts.
Assist with patient intake procedures and update electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately.
Support patient care activities including mobility assistance, hygiene, and comfort measures.
Administer medications as prescribed, following proper protocols and documentation standards.
Recognize and respond to emergency situations utilizing Basic Life Support (BLS) skills; escalate issues to medical staff promptly.
Assist with diagnostic procedures such as X-ray preparation or specimen collection when required.
Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control protocols and hospital policies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient, outpatient, ICU (PICU), or trauma center settings, including Level I and Level II trauma centers.
Support administrative tasks such as ICD coding, documentation of patient interactions, and updating medical records efficiently.
Provide compassionate patient service tailored to diverse populations including geriatrics, medical-surgical patients, or those in internal medicine units.
Skills
Experience working within carehome settings.
Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care quality.
