We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Long Lartin, a
category A
Prison located in
Littleton.
The candidate can be qualified nurse or paramedic.
HMP Long Lartin is a male prison serving life sentences with a capacity for 690 inmates. Not well situated so you would need to drive.
You will get paid for all 12.5 hours of your night shift as due to the prison security you will be unable to leave site (apart from emergencies after 2200 at night).

19:30pm - 08:00am
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between 34428 - 41659 per annum depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Night Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
Attend Emergency Response situations and will be trained to an Immediate Life Support (ILS) standard
Deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference.

Requirements
NMC registered Adult Nurse/HCPC Paramedic qualification
Evidence of Continued Professional Development
Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
