The purpose of this role is to represent the hotel in a friendly and professional way; receiving and welcoming guests in the warmest manner, responsible for providing best quality customer service and knowledge to guests, maintain a warm friendly environment, create strong customer relations, comply with Company's Health & safety policy and other instructions and guidance relating to safety matter and internal procedures.
Responsibilities
Undertake overnight responsibility for reception, taking reservations and dealing with all telephone and e-mail enquiries
Ensure maximum revenue was obtained for all room sales.
Liaise with other departments in the hotel with regard to customer requirements and staff.
Ensure all breakfast forms were collected and any early requests given to the waiter.
Ensure all guests are appropriately attended to and that every phone call is handled in a courteous and professional manner.
Perform the night audit and oversee the safety and security of the hotel, as well as handle any enquiries effectively and efficiently.
Checking guests in & out
Taking reservations over the phone and making sure all guest s receive email confirmations promptly.
To be fully aware of the Hotel's Fire Safety procedures and Health and Safety regulations
Assist with the health and safety and fire prevention at the venue and monitor all fire/intruder alarm systems, including assisting in emergency and evacuation procedures.
Ensure that all areas of the venue, equipment and grounds are kept secured so that all visitors and employees benefit from a safe, secured environment.
Dealing with complaints quickly and efficiently and find suitable solutions to any problems that may arise, record and communicate issues to management and colleagues in a constructive and clear manner.
To liaise with guests and other departments, passing relevant information onto staff especially specific requirements or arrangements.
Ensure that Billing Instructions are accurate and clear.
To be aware of and promote all services offered in the Hotel
Ensuring that all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
Ensuring that daily procedures are followed and completed correctly
Ensuring daily banking is correct
Making sure that Company policy and the Vision are followed at all times
Replying to guests' email or telephone enquiries, such as group bookings promptly and efficiently when the person responsible is not available or busy with other activities.
Ensuring all pre -authorizations are completed and report any declined ones.
Ensuring every reservation has been either preauthorized, reported or cancelled in order to maximize revenue and occupancy.
To take overall personal pride in appearance and work performance
Create a warm and friendly environment for you and your colleagues
Ensure all early morning calls were completed for all individual, guests as well as groups.
Take full responsibility of the bar, ensuring banking is completed in a correctly manner, cleanliness of the bar, back room, seating and public area
