ABOUT THE ROLE

The Bell is a modern British inn set in the heart of the Cotswolds - a place to eat, drink and sleep in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The Bell family is growing, and we are looking for a passionate and experienced Night Porter to join our team.



As a Night Porter, you are responsible for guest rooms and will ensure a high level of service is provided during the night shift, addressing guest queries in a professional and timely manner. You'll possess a "never say no" attitude and constantly strive to exceed expectations. You will actively monitor the safety and security of the sites, escalating any incidents if necessary.

SALARY:

12.38 per hour

HOURS:

Part Time - 24 hours - weekend work included

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the security and safety of staff and guests during the night shift. Collaborate with the group's security teams to accurately and promptly relay essential information to all relevant parties. Act as the team and guest liaison across all business areas throughout the night shift, maintaining accurate records and supporting Duty Management as required. Uphold the service culture at all times and maintain clear communication with all relevant departments. Complete the Night Audit by verifying guest bills for accuracy and ensuring all guest checks are signed.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests and staff during night hours Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and handle unexpected situations confidently Competence in basic administrative tasks, including using computer systems and completing reports accurately Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to ensuring safety, security, and cleanliness throughout the night shift
