About Shendish Manor Hotel & Golf Course

An amazing opportunity for a Night Porter to join the Shendish Manor Hotel & Golf Course. Set in 160 acres of parkland and formal gardens, the excellent road and rail links close by ensures that this West Hertfordshire venue is the perfect choice. The hotel features 70 spacious and beautiful bedrooms, a relaxing lounge area and the delightful Orangery restaurant complete with bar and its own terrace leading out onto the formal Dutch Gardens.

The superb conference and banqueting facilities are second to none. A choice of styles and size of rooms is available from 2 - 400 delegates for diverse array of events. No country house hotel would be complete without its own golf course and Shendish Manor is no exception.

About Night Porter role

You will ensure guests satisfaction through excellent customer service including helping the guests with the luggage and any other requests within the remit.

The successful Night Porter will undertake the following duties:

Set up and cleaning of any rooms that are requested to the company brand standards Completion of security checks Checking in and out of guests Preparation of food and drink as requested by guests Ensuring public areas are free of dirty crockery and glasses Ensuring that any late arrival guests are dealt with in a professional manner Any additional tasks delegated by the Duty Manager/Reception Manager Deliver any room service as ordered by our guests To deliver newspapers on a daily basis as previously ordered by hotel guests To ensure that any guests within the hotel are dealt with quickly and efficiently Make every effort to maximise sales opportunities.
