To provide exceptional service and operational support during overnight hours at Home Park Stadium. The Night Porter will ensure security, prepare event spaces, and handle laundry washing, drying and ironing services, including table linens and additional items as required.
Key Responsibilities
Laundry Services
Collect, wash, dry, iron, and fold table linens used during events and matchdays.
Launder and prepare PAFC Women's training kits and other team items as required.
Ensure all laundered items meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Maintain the laundry room in a clean and organised state, reporting any maintenance issues.
Security & Safety
Conduct regular patrols of the stadium and surrounding areas to ensure security.
Lock up and secure site after shifts, if required.
Respond to and assist with any emergency situations, including fire alarms and evacuations.
Operational Support
Set up and prepare meeting rooms, hospitality suites, and event spaces for the next day.
Ensure public areas are clean and tidy throughout the night shift.
Customer Service
Greet and assist early or late arriving clients or contractors.
Address any queries, requests, or issues promptly and professionally.
Maintain a welcoming and safe atmosphere for all visitors.
Administration
Complete necessary handover reports for the morning team.
Record and address maintenance or operational issues identified during the shift.
Liaise with external contractors when necessary.
Other Duties
Provide support to catering staff for setup or minor tasks if required.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Person Specification
Essential:
Proven experience in an operational, or security role.
Familiarity with handling laundry equipment (e.g., washing machines, dryers).
Strong communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
Physically fit to manage manual tasks (e.g., moving tables and chairs, handling laundry).
Availability to work flexible hours when required, including weekends and holidays.
Desirable:
Previous experience in hospitality, events, or stadium operations.
Knowledge of health and safety practices.
First Aid or Fire Warden certification.
Working Conditions
Predominantly weekday night shifts, with hours typically from Midnight to 8:00 AM.
Working both indoors and outdoors across stadium facilities.
