Job Description

Stoke by Nayland Resort is looking for an experienced Night Receptionist/Night Porter to join the team on a full time basis.

This is a hands-on role that would will suit a motivated individual who has a positive outlook and natural interest in learning new skills and being organised. You will be professional and friendly and always ready to provide our guests with a warm welcome. As the first and last point of contact with our guests, you must have a genuine warmth and passion for delivering hospitality and ensuring our guests receive an exceptional guest experience.

Job Responsibilities

Your role will include;

Welcoming guests and processing check-in and check-out Providing information on hotel facilities and services, as well as the surrounding area Processing guest payments, invoices, departure bills and room charges Taking,, modifying and processing room and restaurant reservations Running the Night Audit procedure Providing First Aid response Overseeing the safety and security of the building, staff and guests Developing and maintaining standards Evening and morning handover of tasks and checklists Monitoring CCTV Performing on-site checks and patrols Performing night cleaning duties and assisting housekeeping, where required

Qualifications or desired skills

Excellent IT and administrative skills Excellent communication and organisation skills A proactive individual with a positive approach to work First Aid qualified to 3-day or equivalent Experience working with a POS & PMS system Excellent organisational skills and a good eye for detail The ability to work alone and as part of a team Previous experience of working on a hotel reception is preferred for this role. Full UK driving licence

Additional Information -

As part of the Nights team you will be expected to work on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays. Due to our location, having your own transport is essential.
