Radley College is an independent boarding school of 770 boys situated five miles south of Oxford.

An exciting opportunity had arisen to join our busy team as a night Security Porter. The Security Porter will often provide the first impression of the school, it is therefore important that they are always professional, diplomatic, authoritative, and dress appropriately for the role.

We are looking for a candidate that will demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills and the ability to be resilient and remain calm under pressure. The successful candidate will have a professional, warm and friendly manner, good levels of computer literacy, ability to work on their own without direction and enjoy working as part of a team.

There are three shift patterns that alternate: 7 pm to 3 am, 9 pm to 5 am and 11 pm to 7 am.

Use of a College vehicle is provided to patrol the school grounds and therefore full driving licence is required.

The role requires a good standard of English and Mathematics, along with strong communication and organisational skills.

The candidate must hold both a full driving licence and a valid SIA licence.

Experience in dealing with welfare or pastoral issues would be advantageous, demonstrating the ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and sound judgement.
