We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Senior caregiver to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Senior caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in our care home. Your responsibilities will include personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities and medication administration and leading the team.
Duties
Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Monitor and document changes in clients' health status and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Administer medication as prescribed and assist with medical appointments when necessary.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
Collaborate with senior team to be able to give information on residents changing needs.
Requirements
Previous experience in a caregiving role or related field is required.
Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices is beneficial.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting or moving clients as needed.
Medication administration is required
