About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated

Senior Healthcare Assistant

to join our care team in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a full-time

night shift position (44 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents throughout the night. Lead, supervise, and support the night care team, ensuring standards of care are consistently met. Assist with the development and implementation of personalised care plans. Administer medication (if trained and competent) in line with policies and procedures. Maintain accurate documentation and records of care provided. Promote safeguarding, dignity, and respect at all times. Liaise with nurses and senior staff regarding residents' needs and changes in condition.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care

(or equivalent) - Essential. Proven experience as a Senior Healthcare Assistant or Team Leader within a care or nursing home setting. Ability to lead and motivate a care team. Strong communication and organisational skills. Compassionate and professional approach to care. Flexibility to work regular

night shifts (44 hours per week)
