Night shift Loader

Full time, permanent role. Monthly bonus scheme. 3 months' pay review after probation. Annual pay increase. Attractive shift allowance of 33%. Experience of loading vehicles with medium to large items a previous role is desirable is essential but full training is given. Night shift role is available, Sunday - Thursday, 21.00pm - 05.00am. Overtime available.
Due to business growth, we are hiring a night shift loader to join our team of manufacturing personnel at our head office is based in Washington, Tyne & Wear.

The main duties of the roles are to load our 3.5T Van and Class 2 HGV with coffins, caskets and other products ready for delivery to our customers.

The Loader will ensure that products are accurately loaded and unloaded, maintaining the integrity of our logistics operations.

Working in a team, you will organise product for dispatch, wrap product to protect it from damage and load it in vehicles according to the delivery sheets. We load up to 400 products per night within the loading team during peak production seasons.

Due to the nature of our business and type of product, previous experience in loading medium to large items is desirable however full training will be given.

Please note - working hours are Sunday to Thursday, 21.00pm - 05.00am however, the loading department are not able to clock off at 05.00 if product still requires loading, overtime is paid for hours worked over 39.

Ideal Candidate:

Knowledge of specific tools and equipment necessary to perform required duties. Strong attention to detail, preparing goods for delivery, conducting inspections of merchandise, managing inventory and assisting with warehouse maintenance and general housekeeping duties. Willingness to work as a team player. Excellent communication & administration skills. Physically fit due to the nature of the role you will carry out manual handling duties daily. Willing to do overtime. A flexible can-do attitude to work. Ability to meet deadlines.
