Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Night Shift Supervisor

to lead production operations within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. This role is suited to a hands-on supervisor who can balance people leadership with operational control, ensuring safety, quality, and performance targets are consistently achieved during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support a team of production operators to deliver safe, efficient shift performance Ensure production plans are followed, and output targets are met Oversee equipment setup, operation, and first-line fault finding to maintain production flow Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards, leading by example on the shop floor Respond quickly to production issues, minimising downtime and disruption Carry out routine quality checks to ensure product compliance with specifications Accurately record production output, incidents, and equipment issues Provide on-the-job coaching and training to develop team capability Ensure correct handling and storage of materials and maintain high housekeeping standards Coordinate effectively with day shift supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth handovers Lead shift briefings, communicating targets, safety updates, and performance feedback Support continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency, quality, and safety

Skills, Experience & Attributes

Previous supervisory experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety requirements Confident people manager with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage performance Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure Clear and effective communication skills Good understanding of quality standards and compliance in manufacturing Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and production reporting systems Able to work independently and take ownership of shift performance Willingness to work night shifts and occasional weekends

Desirable

Health & Safety or First Aid certification Experience with Lean Manufacturing, CI, or operational improvement initiatives
