Edgetech, part of the US-based Quanex Group, is a leading manufacturer of spacer bar systems used in energy-efficient double glazing. Based at our site in Coventry, we are currently looking to recruit a

Night Shift Team Leader

to support our manufacturing operations.

This is a key role within the production team, responsible for overseeing the night shift to ensure targets are met safely and to the required quality standards. The position would suit someone with previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate all night shift manufacturing activities.

Work alongside your team operating machinery, conducting quality checks, and handling materials.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times.

Coach, develop, and support production operators through regular feedback and training.

Manage shift transitions, shift reporting, and effective handovers with other departments.

Quickly identify and escalate production or equipment issues.

Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts.

Maintain clean, organised, and safe work areas in line with 6S and TPM standards.

Conduct pre-shift briefings and ensure open, clear communication within the team.

Participate in plant startup, shutdown, and premises lock down when required.

What You'll Need:

Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of safety and quality standards.

A proactive, hands-on approach to team leadership.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
