Utilising your experience, leadership skills and hands-on approach where necessary, you will effectively supervise your Deckworker team and coordinate warehouse operations to ensure that goods are received, stored, and shipped efficiently, accurately, and safely, within time and budget.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management processes. This role involves managing a team, ensuring efficient logistics, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity within the warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the Deckworker Team, to ensure efficient flow of outbound goods and materials.
Ensure that all goods and materials are stored, loaded and unloaded and put into the relevant bays for onward transportation, within the specified standards and scheduled deadlines.
Ensure that any logistical issues not resolved are discussed promptly with the management team, to ensure a resolution is found in a professional and timely manner.
Utilise the company inhouse systems to ensure safe and efficient good monitoring and communication processes.
Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure that logistics are consistently reviewed and audited, to maintain standards, deadlines and customer experience.
Ensure accurate inventory tracking and accounting.
Quality assurance (QA) duties, to include reporting any product damage and shortages promptly to the management team.
Ensure that work areas are kept clear and clean, promoting the principle of clean-as-you-go, wherever possible.
Ensure any maintenance issues to equipment and / or vehicles are reported promptly to the management team.
Conduct regular reviews and audits on warehouse logistics, making recommendations for improvements where possible to the management team.
Create deck and warehouse metric reports, where required.
To complete any other reasonable duties as instructed by the management team.
Qualifications
Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
Familiarity with materials handling techniques and mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance.
Experience with heavy lifting and the ability to perform physical tasks as required in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes within a warehouse setting.
Excellent organisational skills with a focus on process improvement initiatives.
