About the Project

We are delivering a fast-paced, 3-month modernisation project within a busy shopping centre in Romford. Works will be carried out outside of trading hours and will include a mix of decorative upgrades, vinyl/signage installation, lighting and electrical works, and furniture replacement/installation.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Site Manager

to oversee all on-site activity, manage subcontractors, maintain programme schedules, ensure health & safety compliance, and liaise with the client's on-site team. The role is fully site-based and requires strong leadership in a night-working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all site activities to meet programme deadlines. Supervise subcontractors and trades, ensuring quality workmanship. Enforce site safety rules and complete all necessary H&S documentation. Liaise with project managers, client representatives, and centre management. Conduct progress reporting and resolve issues promptly. Ensure site is kept clean, safe, and secure during and after works.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Site Manager on fit-out, refurbishment, or modernisation projects. Proven ability to manage night works within live or operational environments. Strong understanding of H&S procedures and compliance. SMSTS or SSSTS certification (essential). First Aid at Work (preferred). Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Hours:

Nights - typically 7:00pm to 7:00am (may vary slightly)

Rate:

Competitive, dependent on experience
Would lead to permanent role for the right candidate.

Pay: 350.00-450.00 per day
