Purpose of the role




The Night Supervisor role encompasses all aspects of the guest experience outside of normal hours. You will thrive in a dynamic environment that goes beyond routine check-ins and check-outs, supporting colleagues by setting a positive example at all hours of the day.


As a Night Supervisor you will actively contribute to guest satisfaction by demonstrating patience and empathy, being a natural host during late hours and understanding guest needs. You will be a key member of the hometel team, dedicated to providing exceptional service where a can-do attitude and enjoyment is essential.

Key Responsibilities



People



Take full responsibility for the building and the people in the absence of the Night Manager during the night shift Lead the team to create 'can't wait to return' experiences for our guests Lead the team of roommates and latemates Ensure that the team are managing reservation enquiries (e-mail, phone & in person) with a kind & considered approach Be the 'in the know' person for guests enquiries & questions Lead team meetings with constructive feedback to improve operational performance and guest experiences Ensure that the team are taking payments and balancing the books at the end of the day Ensure the team completes property patrols to ensure safety & security Be accountable for the safety of your property Deal with housekeeping requests and maintenance issues during the night shift Be initiative-led when dealing with challenging situations or guest complaints making sure our guests leave happy Be confident working alone and be a happy, positive influence when working as part of a team Be part of the management team in all aspects of the day-to-day operation

Skills and Qualities



Previous Nights or hotel reception experience. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to oversee & delegate work to others. A warm, friendly and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests. You are passionate about creating extraordinary service regardless of the time of day Flexibility with a, 'Yes I Can!' approach An eye for detail and a creative problem-solver Strong verbal communication skills Good computer skills and knowledge of hotel systems would be an advantage

Pay range and compensation package



Competitive salary up to 13.23ph and discretionary bonus scheme 1 free night stay annually at our properties, with generous employee discounts thereafter. Loyalty rewards and referral bonuses.
