Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Supervisor to oversee our operations during the overnight shift. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, hospitality experience, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role is vital in ensuring smooth night-time operations, maintaining high standards of guest service, and supporting staff in a dynamic environment. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to facilitate communication with diverse guests and team members.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff working during the night shift to ensure operational efficiency. Oversee guest services, addressing any issues or concerns promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. Monitor safety procedures and security protocols to safeguard guests, staff, and property throughout the night. Assist with human resources functions such as scheduling, training, and performance management of team members. Ensure all areas of the hotel or establishment are clean, organised, and fully operational for overnight guests. Liaise with other departments to facilitate smooth communication and handover of responsibilities at shift changeovers. Handle emergencies or unforeseen incidents with professionalism and composure. Maintain detailed records of nightly activities, incidents, and staff performance for reporting purposes.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within the hospitality or hotel industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent guest service skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences. Knowledge of human resources practices including scheduling, training, and conflict resolution. Hospitality experience is highly preferred; previous hotel experience is advantageous. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are desirable to support effective communication with international guests and staff members. Organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
