As a Night Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate care and support, helping clients achieve their personal goals and maintain their independence. This position requires a strong commitment to promoting dignity and respect while fostering a supportive environment.
Duties
Support clients with night time routines and activities, including personal care and hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Read and adhere to care and support plans
Support clients when needed throughout the night.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate professionals.
Foster effective communication with clients, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care.
Support residents when in hospital if required.
Complete the night duty tasks and sign them off.
Document and communicate effective handover to day staff
Skills
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Experience working with adults, particularly those with learning disabilities, is highly desirable.
Ability read and adhere to care plans that cater to individual needs.
Proficiency written skills for maintaining records and using relevant paperwork.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as required.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
