We are seeking a
Night Support Worker
to work at our
Hereford Care Leavers Service.
We are committed to empowering Children in Care and Care Leavers on their journey to independent living. This is an
Ofsted-regulated
service and we need staff to follow our high standards, ensuring the best support for our young people.
Our recently refurbished, high-quality self-contained flats provide a safe and nurturing environment, complemented by 24-hour support. We are looking for someone to work
45 hours a week

Waking Night shifts,
8pm-8:15am with an hour break. There are also casual hours available.
What You'll Do
Serve as the primary point of contact for young people, ensuring their safety and security throughout the night.
Record notes on a computer system and maintain effective communication with support staff for smooth handovers.
Keep track of individuals on-site, maintaining building cleanliness and presentation, performing minor maintenance, and engaging with young people needing support.
De-escalate any situations posing a risk to young peoples' well-being, and conduct regular health and safety checks.
Resolve situations or seek assistance from peers and emergency services, when necessary.
Demonstrate empathy and patience towards our young people.

Hours: 45 hours per week, or on a casual basis- Waking night Shifts
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hereford, Herefordshire
Pay: 29,484 per year for 45 hours per week (equivalent to 12.60 per hour) Band B. 12.60 per hour for bank workers.

^Annual Leave entitlement will be pro-rata for Part-time staff. Working on public holidays due to a rota pattern will be compensated with time off in lieu. An extra day of leave accrues for each completed financial year (capped at 5). Purchasing additional holidays is capped at 5 per year.
^^Contracted staff only. Business mileage (45p a mile) is paid for any daily miles over and above the distance from your home to the allocated workplace location and back. You'll need a well-maintained vehicle with valid tax, MOT and Insurance covering business use.
