Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Night Team Member to join our busy forecourt team. This role involves delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a safe and clean store environment, and supporting all nightly operational tasks. The ideal candidate will be organised, safety-focused, and confident working independently during night hours.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and efficient customer service at all times, including handling fuel, shop, and food-to-go transactions. Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of the shop floor, forecourt, pumps, and customer areas. Complete nightly checks such as tank dips, pump resets, security checks, waste removal, and fridge temperature logs. Restock shelves, chillers, and promotional displays to ensure product availability for the morning trade. Follow all age-restricted sales procedures (Challenge 25), recording refusals in the register where required. Monitor stock levels and assist with deliveries, stock rotation, and inventory control. Conduct housekeeping tasks, including cleaning equipment, shop fixtures, and food preparation areas. Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and fire regulations, including fuel handling procedures and emergency protocols. Support the closing and handover process to ensure smooth operation between shifts.

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail, forecourt, or customer service is preferred but not essential. If you'd like, I can also help tailor this to a specific petrol station brand (Esso, BP, Shell, MFG, Rontec, etc.) Confidence in serving customers professionally, including handling cash, card payments, and fuel transactions. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently during night shifts. Basic numeracy skills for till work, stock counts, and recording fuel readings. Understanding of health and safety, food hygiene, or forecourt safety procedures is an advantage. Reliability, enthusiasm, and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards at all times.

Pay: Up to 14.38 per hour
