25+ hours per week

12.21 per hour

plus 1.20 per hour Local Living Allowance

(applies to all, including those under the age of 21)

Are you looking for a fun and varied job in hospitality? YHA London Thameside are looking for a Night Team Member to join their team! You'll cover a wide range of customer facing duties across the hostel, delivering an excellent service to all guests and visitors, giving them a great experience of YHA. Your day may range from working on reception, providing information on the hostel and local area, to carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties, to working in the kitchen and serving food and drinks.


As a Hospitality Team Member, you'll play a key role in making our guests' experiences memorable. Your efforts will be at the core of our mission to provide exceptional hospitality.

What will you be doing as a Night Team Member?

We are a friendly team and will provide the training required for you to undertake the role. However, there is plenty for you to get stuck into from day one, including:

Ensuring the security of the hostel, making every guest feel safe and welcome Working on reception, providing support to guests and preparing necessary reports Regular inspections to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort Carrying out cleaning duties, helping to prepare the breakfast service, and covering various tasks to ensure a seamless guest experience

What Skills and Experience do you need to be a Night Team Member?

Our Night Team Members undertake a wide range of customer facing duties within the hostel, delivering an excellent service to all guests and visitors.


To provide this service to our guests we are looking for the following qualities in our Night Team Members:

Excellent timekeeping, with flexibility to cover different shifts - punctual, can work to deadlines Basic IT skills (ideally Microsoft Office) - able to use Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel A food safety qualification would be beneficial (desirable) Knowledge and understanding of the core purpose of YHA - what YHA does and how we do it
