The Night Wellbeing Responder plays a crucial role in providing compassionate and professional care to individuals in need during the night hours. The Night Wellbeing Responder will ensure the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents, providing essential support and assistance as required.
12 Hour shifts, pattern of 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off.
Purpose of the role:
Toprovide an emergency response service to clients living within Retirement Village properties
To provide cleaning services in communal areas as per cleaning schedule
To provide highly individualised flexible support to people with disabilities or health needs living in the own homes
To respect the lifestyle and choices of clients to ensure they lead fulfilling lives
To work as part of the staffing services and be a team member of the Retirement Village Service providers to ensure that residents needs are fully met
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
To respond to alarm calls made by residents and ensure that appropriate support is give and emergency services, on call manager and where requested family members are appropriately contacted
To assist with daily living activities specified within the client Care plan.
To monitor the wellbeing of clients
To ensure the cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained within communal areas
These may include but may not be limited to:
Responding to alarm calls in a time appropriate manner
To provide appropriate support to ensure that emergencies are dealt with appropriately and professionally, where necessary providing emergency first aid and liaising with relevant health service professionals
Monitoring Client Health and Wellbeing and ensuring all care notes are completed accurately
Arrange GP appointments at the request of residents
To make appropriate referrals to health care professionals after discussion with line manager
To maintain accurate response records and report appropriately as per company
Guidelines
To provide cleaning services for communal areas within the village
Personal Care; i.e. assistance with washing, bathing and toileting
Domestic duties; i.e. assisting with shopping, housework and laundry
Food Preparation; i.e. preparing and cooking meals and cleaning prior and after. Ensure food is stored safely following guidelines
Companionship; i.e. social stimulation within clients own homes or accompanying them on visits (i.e. health appointments and social and activity visits)
Informing the office or on call service of concerns, incidents and changes in client health needs
Medication support in line with client care and risk plans
Working in partnership with other staff working in the village, care providers and health professionals and family members
Attending 3 monthly supervisions and staff meetings and annual appraisal. Attend meeting as and when required by the manager in order to support clients', the company, colleagues or own development
Attending annual training, which is provided by our in house training team
Working Conditions:
To ensure that clients needs are fully met the hours of work are varied and flexible dependent upon the work which is available. Working hours include short domiciliary visits which start from 15 minutes to 12 hours. Where possible a weekly schedule of regular working shifts will be agreed with your line manager.

All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS
