Focussed on satisfying our customers from start to finish; from innovative product development right through to consumer feedback, we are looking for like-minded individuals to join us as Production Supervisors

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the key responsibilities for the role will include (but not limited to):

Plan and co-ordinate the activities of production in the short term to ensure the daily plan for the department is achieved. Take ownership for product quality in the day-to-day running of the department to ensure GMP standards are maintained. Supervision of a team of staff with regards to employee relations, i.e. RTW, absence management, SOP training etc. Ensure that the day-to-day hygiene and house-keeping standards are met. Ensure effective utilisation of labour Monitor and control the efficiency within the area of responsibility Monitor & control department material variances to agreed targets. Promote a safe working environment, culture and conduct accident investigations, initiating recommendations where possible. Understand and promote the company Health and Safety. Ensure daily Health & Safety Pre-Start checks in the area of responsibility are carried out. Contribute to the continuous improvement in business performance. Carry out ad hoc projects and investigations as and when required. Ensure Buddy system for new starters is applied.

Key skills/experience required

:

Strong organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure. Team player but able to work independently and on own initiative Computer literate in all office applications Food Safety Level 2 or equivalent - not essential as training will be given Good Analytical and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to influence and motivate Previous experience in a supervisor role would be an advantage but not essential.
