Shell, The Silver Fin Building, 455 Union Street, Aberdeen, AB11 6DB

Pay:

13.45 per hour

Hours:

37.5 hours per week

Monday to Thursday: 9:00pm - 6:00am Friday: 5:00pm - 8:30pm

About the Role




We are seeking a reliable and professional

Nightshift Hygiene Operative

to join our Facilities Team at Shell, Silver Fin Aberdeen.

You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality cleaning service, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.


This is a hands-on role that involves working closely with your colleagues and following established cleaning routines and schedules to meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities



Carry out all hygiene duties to

BICSc standards

and follow cleaning schedules provided by your Line Manager. Ensure compliance with all

company, client, legal, and environmental regulations

, including Fire, Safety, Hygiene, COSHH, and Health & Safety requirements. Use cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment correctly, ensuring they are applied safely and for the intended purpose. Assist colleagues and be flexible to move between tasks within your role as required. Participate in observation programmes and customer-driven initiatives. Report all accidents or near-misses promptly to your Line Manager. Respond quickly to any customer requests for additional cleaning or assistance. Manage site keys responsibly and ensure they are signed in and out at the end of each shift. Attend training sessions as required to maintain skills and compliance knowledge. Communicate effectively with personnel at all levels and maintain high standards of professionalism. Maintain and continuously improve existing standards of work. Be flexible to work across other units locally if reasonably requested. Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by your Line Manager.

About You



Experience in a similar cleaning or hygiene role is desirable. Knowledge of compliance standards and working in regulated environments is preferred. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach. Ability to follow routines and instructions with close supervision. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Commitment to health and safety, hygiene standards, and professional conduct.
