Nightshift Hygiene Shift Leader

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nightshift Hygiene Shift Leader to join our existing nightshift team at our site in Bridge of Allan, working 5 days over 7. Reporting directly to the Group Hygiene Manager, you will be entrusted with a high degree of independence and have a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful impact towards our ever-growing business.

Responsibilities

v Conduct daily briefings and assign duties based on priorities and cleaning schedules

v Ensure all cleaning is performed to the required standards, following company policies and food safety regulations ( e.g., BRCGS, HACCP )

v Perform routine checks, post Hygiene audits, and verification of effectiveness

v Promote safety culture by enforcing correct PPE usage and safe handling of chemicals

v Report hazards, near misses and take appropriate actions to prevent them in future

v Train new and existing Team members on Hygiene procedures, chemical safety and site protocols - help Team identify and comply with CIC's and SOP's

v Monitor performance and provide feedback to support your Team growth

v Work closely with Production , Technical and Engineering Team to coordinate cleaning activities with minimal delays and issues

v Reduce water ingress on site and enforce Bagging and Isolation procedures

v Ensure all cleaning records, checklists, and verification forms are completed and maintained

v Support internal and external audits by demonstrating cleaning processes and providing documentation

v Support implementation of new procedures, equipment to enhance Hygiene standards, identify opportunities for improving Hygiene practices, cleaning efficiency and Team performance

v Monitor holidays, absences and shift schedules to ensure highest standard is achieved.

v Carry CIP cleaning processes after proper training will be provided ( as cover during absences and holidays )

The successful candidate will be from a food production background and will have proven experience in a supervisory role or Team Leader position. You must be a proven problem solver who uses data and their initiative to resolve operational issues and drives continuous improvement.

Preferably candidates will have knowledge of food safety standards BRC, COSHH, and knowledge of CIP systems and will hold Level 2 or 3 food safety and hygiene certification.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 35,000.00 per year
