Overview

The Hygiene and CIP Team Leader is responsible for ensuring all equipment, machinery, and processing areas are cleaned and sanitized to the highest hygiene standards. This role supports food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance through effective sanitation and CIP (Clean-in-Place) processes. Managing a new small team.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the hygiene team, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Develop and implement hygiene protocols and procedures in line with industry regulations. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with hygiene standards. Train team members on the proper use of hand tools and power tools relevant to hygiene tasks. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock is maintained. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and adherence to health standards. Address any hygiene-related issues promptly and effectively, fostering a culture of safety and responsibility within the team.

Skills

Proficient in the use of hand tools for maintenance and cleaning tasks. Experience with power tools is advantageous for carrying out specific hygiene-related duties. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and instructions. Attention to detail, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
