St Philip's School provides specialist Residential Care and Education to young people aged 10 - 19 years, who have a range of additional support needs, including social, emotional and behavioural development. We are currently recruiting for Nightshift Residential Child Care Workers who will work shifts on a rota basis of four shifts on, four shifts off, including weekends and public holidays, as we develop and expand the range of services available to our young people.
St Philip's School have designed trauma informed and nurturing services to meet the individual needs of the children and young people we support.
Vacancies are available within our main campus in Airdrie and our Community services in Lanark.

As a Nightshift Residential Child Care Worker you will have the proven ability to develop positive, nurturing relationships with young people and their families. You will provide a safe, consistent and caring environment that encourages young people to reach their potential and positive outcomes.
You must have knowledge of the care planning process and case working and be willing to go the extra mile in supporting our young people. You will ensure that your practice complies with policy and procedures, trauma informed principles and in line with regulatory, statutory requirements as well as The Promise.
Applicants with a current UK Driving License would be desirable for our Airdrie Campus. For our community services in
Lanark it is essential applicants have a current UK Driving License and own personal transport.
Successful candidates must have HNC Social Care/SVQ 3 or working towards this.
Successful applicants will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within the first three months of employment.

Pre-Employment Medical Questionnaires will be undertaken prior to confirmation of employment. All convictions whether spent or unspent must be declared . These posts are regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
