An opportunity has arisen at Royal Lancaster Infirmary for a Non Clinical Support Worker on Lancaster Suite.



University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Foundation Trust provides acute hospital care to the local population.

You will work in conjunction with all staff in order to maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure housekeeping jobs are completed in a satisfactory manner.



Providing housekeeping duties, to support Clinical Staff To co-ordinate all patient facilities services within the ward area To ensure that the ward is a safe, clean, tidy and comfortable environment Ensure that food is available to meet the patients' needs Assist the ward staff to receive, welcome and guide patients and visitors onto the ward Assist nursing staff with the feeding of patients who are unable to do so for themselves and complete food charts where necessary Ensure all patients are afforded privacy and dignity throughout their stay Ensure that there is an adequate linen supply throughout the day Respond to health emergencies as appropriate

Monitor ward supplies and order stock where required.



We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.



FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.



WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.



All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
