Construction Senior Associate (Non-Contentious) - 6+ PQE

My client, a highly regarded Top 100 international law firm, is seeking an experienced Non-Contentious Construction Senior Associate to join its market-leading construction team in Guildford. While part of an international firm, this role is focused on high-quality domestic UK work, offering exposure to complex and prestigious projects without the pressures of international travel.
You will advise a wide range of clients, including developers, contractors, funders, investors, and consultants, on sophisticated non-contentious construction matters, including:
Drafting and negotiating construction and engineering contracts (JCT, NEC and bespoke forms)
Advising on major residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
Professional appointments, collateral warranties, and third-party rights
Procurement strategies and risk allocation
Supporting real estate and corporate teams on construction aspects of transactions
Providing strategic, commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle
You will play a senior role within the team, working closely with partners, leading matters, mentoring junior lawyers, and contributing to business development initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales
6+ years' PQE in non-contentious construction law
Strong technical expertise with experience leading complex matters
Excellent commercial awareness and client relationship skills
Ability to work autonomously while supporting and developing junior team members
